American Art Catalogues presents ExHypnosis by Dylan Solomon Kraus, published on the occasion of the exhibition at Peres Projects, Berlin.

ExHypnosis, a conjured phrase from Kraus, conceptually translates to "wake up", a phrase further enforced by the dreamlike scenarios found within Kraus' paintings. Repetition is important; reoccuring motifs, (the cosmic clocktower, the sunken city) dance with moments of deja vu (the neophyte, a bird in the brush). ExHypnosis catalogues a selection of paintings from the last four years, documenting a journey in self and practice.
